PUBLIC NOTICE WAITLIST OPENING FOR SELECTED KITSAP COUNTY CONSOLIDATED HOUSING AUTHORITY COMMUNITIES

On Monday April 15, 2024, at 8:00 am, Kitsap County Consolidated Housing Authority dba Housing Kitsap will open the waiting lists for selected properties.

Project Based Voucher (PBV):

• Conifer Woods Apartments, 4698 SE Conifer Park Drive Port Orchard, WA 98366
• Two- and three-bedroom units (20 PBV units out of 72 total units)
• Kingston Ridge Apartments, 26659 Myrtle Lane NE Kingston, WA 98346
• One-, two- and three-bedroom units (8 PBV units out of 72 total units)

HUD Projected Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) program located at the following projects:

APPLICATION METHOD

All applicants must register and apply on the waitlist application website.  Please see more information below, registration is required, and applicants must login to apply.

Paper applications will be accepted at each community’s management office or at the Housing Kitsap main office located at 2244 NW Bucklin Hill Road, Silverdale, WA 98383 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM. Online applications are preferred as Housing Kitsap is moving to managing all our waitlist via an online portal and maintaining updated contact information is vital to continued management of waitlist applications.

If you have applied for one of Housing Kitsap waitlists previously, you will need to register for access to the new system, but you will not need to reapply for the waitlist.

When will you be called from the wait list? No time frame can be given at this time as so many factors affect how quickly we can serve the current applicants on our current waitlists. Each community has a waitlist managed by the Property Manager of that community.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
In order for a family to be eligible for the Housing Kitsap communities, they must meet the requirements below.

Income Limits 
Households must meet income limits established by the specific programs to qualify for the community.  These income limits are subject to change without notice. 

Tenant Selection Plan

Housing Kitsap screens all applicants using the approved Tenant Selection Plan of the community. Please select the community from the list below to select the community you are interested in residing at and select Tenant Selection Plan to review the plan for the community.  Please be aware Housing Kitsap requests a criminal background check for all household members 18 years of age and older for any criminal records. Applicants may be denied eligibility due to their criminal records.  Additionally, Housing Kitsap will deny eligibility to an applicant owing money to Housing Kitsap, another housing authority or landlord if the debt is not repaid.
